Journal Entry #5 - I took action

I took action. I got out of my head, stopped allowing my fear to drive me and took action.

It has been 3 months since getting my #yoga teaching material and I am still reading the first book. Still. I have been procrastinating, hard. Not giving myself the needed time to just get it done and move on to the next. Sure, life has gotten in the way. But it always will. It will always be there, happening.

You must take action if you want to see results. Only you can make those changes.

So, I made a list, with times and stuck to that list on my day off this last Wednesday. I included house chorus, workouts, meals and leisure time too. And you know? I got shit done! I tackled a few questions on my exam and it felt good, no, GREAT!

A weight was lifted off my shoulders because I started it. Started to answer questions on the exam. I was procrastinating, waiting to finish this big long book before going to the exam. But I decided that was just going to cause more frustration and stress. So I started the exam now, as the first half of the book is fresh in my mind. Are the answers perfect? No. But I can come back to that later and fix them.

Starting. Just start and you will feel so much better. There is no such thing as perfection. If you are waiting for it to be perfect you will never get to where you want to be. Just start now. Just where you are. You wont regret it.

Yoga is YOUR practice, YOUR time, YOUR journey. Let it be what YOU need it to be. Step on your mat and Let it all Go.
