5 Affirmations to Step into Your Power | Reiki Principles | Yogatation

Updated: Jun 17

Reiki is a Japanese form of energy healing. It's based on the premise that all humans have energy fields, or life force, that keep us alive.

Physical, mental and emotional issues can occur if this energy is low or becomes blocked.

Reiki aims to promote good health by balancing these energy fields.

These healing points correspond to different physical and emotional parts of you.

The body has healing points throughout the body. In Chinese Medicine, these are called Meridians. In the yoga world, we call them Chakras.

When the energy can flow freely to these points and throughout your system, it positively impacts your physical body and emotions.

Reiki has a set of principles, similar to affirmations.

By focusing on the present moment, they offer guidance for connecting with your energy, which will boost your well-being in various ways.

5 Affirmations to Step into Your Power

Just for today, I remain peaceful

Experiencing anger occasionally is a common occurrence. Various situations, such as interacting with an impolite colleague or being abruptly cut off in traffic, can evoke this emotion.

However, Reiki teaches that anger does not originate from external events but rather from pre-existing angry energy within oneself.

The purpose of this principle is to assist you in releasing this energy. It promotes acknowledging anger and releasing it, thus enabling you to welcome happiness into your life.

Just for today, I focus on the present moment

There is a common concern among many people about events that have not yet occurred. Despite the perception that external factors may trigger this worry, Reiki emphasizes that it originates from within oneself.

When you hold onto worry energy, contemplating future events can trigger negative emotions. Yet, by letting go of this energy, you might find it easier to stay present and reduce concerns about the future.

Just for today, I am thankful for my many blessings

Remember to show appreciation for everything you possess. Taking the time to acknowledge the positives in your life can lead to a greater sense of positivity.

Just for today, I do my work honestly

Practicing mindfulness is essential in Reiki to balance your energy. This concept promotes being more aware of appreciating the present moment.

Just for today, I am kind to all living creatures

This principle emphasizes that showing kindness to others can attract positive energy back to you. It also highlights the importance of being compassionate towards yourself for maintaining spiritual well-being.

Utilizing these affirmations can steer your thoughts and behaviours daily. It is thought to foster spiritual and personal development, enabling you to lead a healthier, more satisfying, and harmonious life.

By regularly practicing the five Reiki principles, you can enhance the natural healing of your Reiki energy, leading to increased balance and flow in your life, as well as a heightened sense of well-being.
