Heart Chakra Healing + Meditation | Chakra Balancing | Yogatation

Updated: Apr 8, 2022

Known also as Anahata #chakra or the Heart Chakra, the #heartchakra is located in the center of our chest at your heart. It includes your lungs, ribs and chest. It's associated with love. The colour green represents this chakra. The Heart Chakra is the bridge between the upper and lower chakras.

The heart chakra loves harmonious music. Whatever kind of music sets your soul on fire and invites your heart to join in the dance of life is perfect!

A balanced heart chakra is responsible for feeling radiant, joyful and generous. This chakra helps with that feeling, “I am loved.” The heart chakra is also associated with the Air element. Due to this, being in nature and breathing fresh air into the body and heart can help balance the heart chakra.

A blocked Heart Chakra causes a person to be desperate for love and attention as well as codependent.

An under-active heart chakra leaves you fearful of intimacy, judgemental and isolating.

Heart Chakra Affirmations

I radiate love and light.

I love myself.

I am worthy of pure, true love.

Love is infinitely abundant.

I am united with all things.

I radiate joy and gratitude.

Heart Chakra Meditation

Find a comfortable seat.

Take a couple of deep breaths to center yourself.

Imagine the world sending you Love. Breath in that love on your inhalation, bringing love to your heart center.

On an exhalation, send that love around your body, letting it spread to every corner of your being, filling you with love.

If your heart chakra is already overly open, you can envision the opposite, pulling love from every corner of your being on your inhalation and on your exhalation, sending it out into the world, sharing it with those who need it most. If you choose this version remember a candle doesn't burn out if another candle is lit from it- you can share the love from every bit of your being without losing the love you need for a balanced Anahata chakra.

*As an alternative meditation, imagine a green light glowing in your heart center. Let the light ebb and flow- follow it, however, it may change, glow or grow. Focus on it.

Envisioning your Love and Breath reaching all those that need and with final deep inhale breath, exhale slowly and deeply.

Return your breath back to its natural rhythm.

Love & Light,
