When your body perceives stress (real or imagined), it releases cortisol and adrenaline. Over time, this chronic activation:

 

  • Suppresses reproductive hormones (estrogen, progesterone)

  • Alters your cycle

  • Triggers anxiety, mood swings, cravings

 

You can’t supplement your way out of this. You have to regulate your system.

 

Nervous System Regulation 101

 

Nervous system healing means creating a sense of safety and slowness in your body. Tools like:

 

  • Somatic movement

  • Breathwork

  • Yoga nidra

  • Grounding rituals …teach your body that it’s okay to soften again.
